The Trillium Gift of Life Network is recognizing Windsor Regional Hospital for its ongoing support of organ and tissue donation and for maintaining impressive results of its organ and tissue donation program throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2020/2021, the province contributed to 971 essential organ transplants. Together, Ontario hospitals supported 303 organ donors and 1736 tissue donors. In the same time period, Windsor Regional Hospital had 14 organ donors, which led to 44 organ transplants and 42 tissue donors enhancing the lives of many. An awards presentation, via Zoom, is scheduled for Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at 1pm to present WRH with the Hospital Achievement Awards.
