Event Details:

July 28 commemorates the somber occasion when 10,000 Acadians were deported from their homes in New France (presently Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island) and sent to Anglo-American colonies, France, or the Caribbean. Many did not survive the journey. Despite this difficult chapter, many families returned to Acadia.
