Poson Full Moon Poya Day, or Poson Festival, is a public holiday in Sri Lanka. It is celebrated on the full moon day of Poson in the seventh month of the Sinhalese calendar. It celebrates the introduction of Buddhism to Sri Lanka and is celebrated with music, dancing, storytelling, and giving away food & tea.
