On April 6th, 2018, Canadian's were heartbroken to hear the news of the Humboldt Broncos bus crash. On April 7th, 2018, Humboldt's defenseman Logan Boulet succumbed to his injuries. His parents Bernadine and Toby Boulet offered to donate his organs so that six lives could live on. They did this action because Logan told his parents he was registering as an organ donor. he was inspired by his coach and mentor Ric Suggit. Ric passed away on June 27th, 2017, and was also an organ donor that saved six lives. In honour of the Logan Boulet Effect, in support of organ donor awareness and registration across Canada, we wear green to show our respect and appreciation.
